Indian Mattha / smoothie at home

Mattha/lassi is a popular yogurt drink. 
Mattha is a beverage, originating from the South-East Asian subcontinent. 
Plain buttermilk is also called Mattha in the Indian states of Bihar, West Bengal, Tripura and Bangladesh.

This refreshing smoothie is the perfect way to cool off during summers.

Ingredients 

  • 1.5 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cups cold water/few cubes of Ice
  • .5 inch ginger
  • .5teaspoon chat masala
  • According to your taste himalayan rock salt taste
  • Cilantro or Mint, for garnish

 


Add all ingredients to a blender.


Pour into serving glasses, garnish with fresh cilantro or mint and serve.
